Data extraction / RPM 6.2.0.502 update

On April 3, 2019, we released RPM Remote Print Manager® (RPM) update 6.2.0.502. We'll outline the changes below.

Data extraction fix

Data extraction now performs count based extraction in files larger than 256K bytes for RPM Elite, and 64K bytes for RPM Select.

We have also optimized the pattern and positional extraction in files larger than those sizes.

Archive action fix

The archive action now works (again) with data extraction. If you had a data extraction transform in the queue with the archive, and if the archive filename depended on any values from the data extraction processing, those were not being picked up. This was temporarily interrupted in the recent 6.2.0.501 release.

How to download this release of RPM

Every page on our website has a download link. It's the yellow poster-sized button at the top right of each page.

You can also do this in the RPM user interface. Go to Help / Check for Updates and click on the link next to "Released Version". If your RPM SUM is active (that's Support, Updates, and Maintenance) then you'll be able to update.

Note that you need to be logged in to an account with admin rights in order to update a service program such as RPM.
