It’s not a common request, but we do get questions about "what happened to the job". Typically these are jobs which someone expected to arrive and process but did not witness this for themselves. Or, they are trying to verify that jobs sent from the mainframe arrived.
Fortunately, RPM Remote Print Manager® (“RPM”) has a message log for recording precisely those kinds of events. RPM has always had a message log, from the very first release in the nineties. Inevitably it’s the support and development staff here who use the logs, and that’s OK.
