What it does

Converts text markup to HTML

Purpose

The Text markup to HTML transform was introduced in RPM 5.0 As far as we know, the two primary uses for this are:

  1. Create a web page from a print document
  2. Embed a print document in a rich text email

The latter is supported by the email action this way: you have the option to attach the print job, or use it as the message body. If you choose the message body option, and you use this transform to convert to HTML (or send HTML in the first place) then the message itself will be rich text with bold, underscore, fonts and everything else intact.
