What it does
Inserts a file at the beginning of the print stream.
Purpose
This transform is an alternative to the Insert Bytes transform. Both will insert data at the front of your print job. We feel it is perfectly convenient to use either function. It just depends on what makes sense in your environment.
Typical uses
- insert a PCL macro file ahead of a PCL print job
- insert a standard banner page, although RPM can also create a dynamic banner page for text print and for PCL print
- insert bytes to reset the printer and then set parameters for the next job
Setup
- File to Insert Click Browse to locate the file to be inserted.
