What it does
Inserts bytes at the beginning of the print stream.
Purpose
This is one of the first two transforms requested by users who wanted RPM to "fix my print job".
Apparently, there were, at that time, a great many print jobs coming to RPM with a binary string that was not suitable for their print application. People wanted us to remove these bytes. We provide a remove bytes transform for that.
Then they wanted to insert a different byte sequence, perhaps set up for a different printer. We can't keep up with every printer but we can easily provide tools to let you edit your print job before it goes to its destination.
Setup
- Bytes to Insert Click Update to access the Edit Bytes dialog to customize the data to be inserted.
